What is Mental Strength?
How do we develop Resilience?

Building mental fortitude is a genuine, human journey, filled with peaks, valleys, and everything in between.

Quick-fix solutions or trends can’t truly substitute the raw, real-life experiences that propel us toward our true potential.

Mental strength isn’t an overnight phenomenon, it is a practice of building resilience tools.  We sharpen our abilities every moment we become aware that we have the capacity and control to choose our thoughts and reactions.

Consider Djokovic during the men’s Wimbledon Championship yesterday.  Despite a challenging game, he paused, observed the audience, and smiled. His loss didn’t cloud his genuine appreciation of the moment he had worked his whole life for.

This is mental toughness, loud and clear!

Genuine self-awareness is the key to mental fortitude. This serves as our guide to help us manage thoughts, control emotions, and remain faithful to our values regardless of life’s hurdles.

Without this awareness, we will struggle with being thrown about by life and the neverending array of disruptions and challenges.  When we lack self-awareness, we can get in our way, experience anxiousness, and be overwhelmed more easily.    Life is seemingly harder.

Life is not perfect, and we each have unique traits and challenges, yet with a steady focus on progress and growth, we can tap into an enormous reservoir of inner strength.

Building mental resilience is all about sincerity and consistent practice, always rising after a fall and giving it another try.
